  Did you ever volunteer at or visit Bethel? What were your impressions when you were in the WBTS vs. now (looking back)?

  did you ever volunteer/visit bethel back when you were in the borg?

  at the time, it opended my eyes as i saw a lot of red flags.

  for instance, volunteers were kept so busy without reasonable accomodations that everyone became in a robotic-zombie state of compliance with an unreasonably strict fast pased schedule.

  Did you ever Volunteer/Visit Bethel back when you were in the borg? I did. At the time, it opended my eyes as I saw a lot of red flags. For instance, Volunteers were kept so busy without reasonable accomodations that everyone became in a robotic-zombie state of compliance with an unreasonably strict fast pased schedule. In fact, it was not uncommon to see a 60 year old brother or sister jogging to make it to the cafeteria for the short lunch period. If she did not make it in time, "No Soup for her!"

  From my experience, an average Bethel schedule including Bethel responsibilities, meetings (typical commute for Bethelites in New York State is about a 60-120 minutes round trip to the their assigned Kingdom Hall), field service, and all other responsibilities ended up in approximately 60+ hour weeks! This is grossly contrary to what the WBTS proclaims for it's servants. For instance, Christ's refreshing remarks at Mt 11: 28-30 state, “My yoke is kindly and my load is light.” In contarast, Bethel's (and the WBTS's) yoke is extreme, difficult, oppressive, and cruel.

  What are some of the things you observed in your Bethel experiences?

  I would appreciate hearing your experiences as Bethel really stood out to me as being way off par. Thanks in advance for sharing.

  Million Dollar Financial Fraud involving Watsonville Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses

  jw leaks has published court documents relating to the million dollar financial fraud involving rodney hatfield and the watsonville congregation of jehovah's witnesses in california, usa.. these court documents include the sealed 2009 indictment, rodney hatfield's plea bargain dated january 30, 2013, and the criminal minutes sentencing order summary dated september 16, 2013. hatfield was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison in connection with his role in a conspiracy to commit wire fraud.. in pleading guilty on january 30, 2013, hatfield admitted that he conspired with his co-defendant to obtain money from investors by means of materially false representations about the value of their investment accounts.

  hatfield admitted that he defrauded members of his own jehovahs witnesses congregation in watsonville, california.

  as part of the conspiracy, he solicited millions of dollars in investment money from his fellow congregants and others to invest in landmark trading company, llc (landmark), a company he and his co-defendant had set up as a holding company for the purpose of trading in foreign currency exchange.. initially, landmark did engage in some legitimate currency trades on behalf of its investors; however, the company quickly began to run a negative return on its trading activity.

  so, i visited the kh with friends so i could have, in my possession, the watchtower study edition of the year.. and the kind gentleman at the counter handed me... a darn photocopy!!!!!.

  maybe this is the norm... did this happen in other kingdom halls?.

  Where Do You NOW Think Wickedness Comes From? The Devil or... ?

  i think wickedness comes from evil people.. there are many people in between the two extremes of, overly good people and overly evil persons.. i do not believe in a devil.. i think he is a concept dreampt up by evil ones to blame bad behavior, as a red herring, on anyone but themselves.. the watchtower makes up attrocious lies, brow beats good people not to better themselves,.

  all the while, they are building their own empire.. they say, do not isiolate yourself.

  it is not good for you.. but if you don't agree with them and their current teachings, you will be shunned, disfellowshipped.. that can and does, have earth shattering results.. so many things, i was taught as a born in, are now considered apostate teachings.

  The warmest congregation we ever visited was in Death Valley, California in the summertime. However, I would say it was "hot" more so than "warm."

  Why do you think they changed their mind on organ transplants?

  from 1967 to early 1980, the watchtower stated that organ transplants were tantamount to "cannibalism.

  " then, suddenly, the position was changed to organ transplants being a "conscience matter.

  " so, my question, why the change?
